Practice questions are one of the most effective ways to prepare for the AICP exam, and one of the most misused. Done right, they show you how the exam thinks, expose your weak domains, and build the stamina you'll need for a 3.5-hour test. Done wrong, they turn into a memorization exercise that doesn't transfer to the real thing.
If you've searched for what's on the AICP exam, you've probably found two different answers. Some study materials describe five topic areas with weights like 25% and 30%. Others describe nine. Only one of those is current, and if you're studying from the wrong one, you're allocating your time based on an exam that no longer exists.
