WHAT IS THE ONE-ON-ONE APPLICATION AND ESSAY REVIEW SERVICE?
Studying for the AICP exam can be an overwhelming process, but even trying to apply for it is daunting. There are several steps required to successfully apply for the exam and we are here to help. We’re offering one-on-one assistance to make sure your application for the AICP exam best reflects your experience while also satisfying the requirements of the application committee. 

Did you know you have to pay each time you apply or register for the exam? Yikes! That can add up. It can be between $270-$360 for each application submission so don’t waste your money and get it right the first time. 

WHAT YOU GET:

  • Our application guide ($10 value) walking you through how to start your application. Instead of starting your application by scratch, use this guide to help you navigate the overwhelming AICP application process. Our AICP Exam Application Guide will make writing the Eligibility Criteria a breeze. We break down each criterion to show you exactly what APA is looking for in your responses. Plus we share all the tips that got us accepted on our very first try, including comments we got from FAICP members ourselves! We talk about how to get started and how to respond to the eligibility criteria.

  • Our recommended timeline for gathering info and beginning the application.

  • Two (2) hour-long phone calls where we help you decide on the best experience to include in your responses. Instead of hearing general tips, these phone calls will be entirely focused on YOUR experience and YOUR responses.

HOW IT WORKS
Upon purchase, you will automatically receive an email with a download link to our Application Guide. Expect an email from us within 24 hours with a link to schedule an Introductory Call. On this call, we can discuss Best Practices, hear about your work experience, and advise you on what’s best to include in your responses. You can have a draft written up at this stage or come to us without knowing what you would write at all. Be prepared to take notes!

Once you have put together a good draft, email us the Word Document. We will review your responses and provide feedback and edits in track changes. This process will take 7 business days. When we provide our feedback, we will also send you a link to schedule your last Wrap-Up call. 

On the Wrap-Up call, we can discuss any of our comments you may have questions about or ask us any last questions you may have about the application. We can discuss revisions that will steer you in the right direction.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

We require that you re-schedule at least 24 hours in advance. A “no-show” is someone who misses the scheduled call time without canceling it with 24 hours’ notice. Failure to be present at the time of the scheduled meeting will result in forfeiture of that call included in your purchased package. Late cancellations will be considered a “no-show.” 

The Planning Certification team will call you promptly at the meeting start time.  A call will only be held for the scheduled one-hour block. If the call is delayed as a result of the customer, the call will not extend beyond the scheduled ending time.
